Amplifier principles 2: electronics and information technology

This learning activities material has been developed for use within the module 'Amplifier principles 2'. It has been designed to be used in a self-paced, competency-based, well-resourced situation. This module aims to provide students with the extended knowledge and skills required to use amplifier principles and concepts. It furthers knowledge of the FET family by introducing additional material about the JFET and introduces the IGFET. The topics are: (1) additional JFET amplifier parameters, (2) the insulated Gate Field Effect Transistor IDFET, (3) introduction to the operational amplifier, (4) the inverting/non-inverting operational amplifier, (5) the differential amplifier, and (6) audio frequency filter networks. Answers to the self-checking exercises have been appended.
