Vocational training institutions in Vietnam and other South East Asian countries: a report of a recent visit

The report details a visit to technical and vocational education facilities in Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, Danang and also to trade union and educational administrators in Hanoi, by R.J. Anderson. Facilities visited were both TAFE-level and secondary education technical training. Observations describe the schools and relate much of the discussion and concerns of the Vietnamese educators. Observations also comment on the systems, the conditions for teachers, funding and financing of Vietnamese technical education. There are also entries of the visits which reveal cultural and educational material at the informal level. Technical education facilities in Singapore, Malayasia and Thailand were also visited and are described.
