The genesis for Community Engineering is from research conducted by the Australian National Training Authority (ANTA) and the Regency College of TAFE into training for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People. The implementation project is being carried on with the cooperation of four Ngarrindjeri Aboriginal Communities at Meningie. The trainees are achieving accredited industry standard engineering trade based skills.
