Recent national microeconomic policies have firmly established the training reform agenda in the overall context of award and industry restructuring. There is intense Federal government interest in the TAFE sector as a key player in training reform. The Federal government has deliberately targeted an expanded training market through increased participation in structured training to support overall microeconomic reform. Increased participation levels will result in an expansion and polarisation of the training market.
