Since the National Qualifications Framework was first introduced, more than 200 standards-setting bodies, including 52 industry training organisations, have set about developing new national standards and qualifications for their particular areas of skill and knowledge. More than 9,000 unit standards are now available to educators and trainers to integrate into learning programmes, in secondary schools, in workplaces and in tertiary institutions. This publication showcases some of the innovative programmes that are emerging as a result of the changes.
