A work portfolio is a five part umbrella for describing the work people do: wage work, fee work, home work, gift work and study work. Wage work is what employees do; fee work covers contracts and charges by self-employed people, and home work is what people do for themselves to avoid paying others to do it, a kind of self-paid fee work. Gift work is that which is given voluntarily to others or to some important cause while study work covers all education and training, some of which is subsidised financially.
