Looking backwards into the future

This keynote address looks at the question - how does one merge the local village with the international culture or the global village that we are now a part of? The purpose of the address is to sketch out how those two villages may be merged and how they may create a distinctive future and in particular a distinctive brand of education. Futures of education: the collected papers of the Futures Conference: volume 2

This is the second volume of the Futures conference. It provides refereed proceedings of the third (1992) AAIR conference and includes a significant number of the papers presented at the AAIR conference. As submission of papers for inclusion in the refereed proceedings was not compulsory, some of the paper presenters have elected not to submit their works for refereed publication but a copy of the full programme is provided.
