The behavioural aspects of a virtual work team involved in the development of online educational material are investigated. The objective is to develop group processes which may improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team and alleviate some of the tensions which the team has previously experienced. The characteristics of a virtual team as opposed to others teams are membership distributed across multiple locations, work at different times, some members work for other organisations and considerable diversity within the team including different technical and discipline specialities.
