Industries sensitive to the environment are changing the focus of training. Turning 'brown' environmental problems into sustainable 'green' solutions is fuelling the growth in the environmental industries, both here and overseas. TAFE NSW is playing its part by adapting its skills in training for 'brown' process industries, such as the chemical, plastics and manufactured mineral industries, to the science and engineering required for courses in water treatment, environmental technology and sustainable management.
