Children's services: developing workers' skills

Children's services graduates continue to be in demand and there is strong need for workplace skill development. Playsessions as part of the simulated workplace experience are a key feature of the curriculum design to provide learners with the opportunity to work with children and their parents in a supportive and practical situation, to discuss ideas for program planning, put their ideas into practice with individual children and groups and develop effective communication skills. Playsessions also forge positive links between TSFE NSW and local communities.
