Developing excellence for a clever country

This article is based on the Vocational Education and Assessment Centre (VEAC) report 'Competence + excellence: current approaches to graded assessment in TAFE NSW' (TD/NSW 67.18). This report identifies national developments and issues arising for TAFE NSW and examines key aspects of TAFE NSW practice, including four case studies on the implementation of graded assessment in two diploma courses.
