This article continues a regular series of mini-features which highlight some of the events and activities taking place in TAFE Institutes across New South Wales (NSW), and looks at Riverina Institute of TAFE. Introducing this feature is an address by Rosemary Campbell, Institute Director, entitled 'Enriching life', which outlines the philosophy and achievements of the Institute. The other segments included in this feature are arranged into four sections. 'Alliances' looks at the Institute's alliances with industry and other education and training providers in such initiatives as the Aerospace Centre of Excellence, the National Environment Centre, the Wine and Food Technology Centre and the Murrin Bridge Project. The section on 'Quality' outlines achievements in information technology, staff development, and in gaining ISO 9001 certification. The section on 'Innovation' looks at innovations in course content and delivery, and 'Bringing in the world' outlines the Institute's international exchange programs with Maricopa Community Colleges in the USA, and the Roskilde Tekniske Skole in Denmark.
