This article describes the Toyota T3 Project, a partnership between TAFE NSW and the Toyota Motor Corporation Australia (TMCA), whereby TAFE NSW will be the nominated training provider for the TMCA and Toyota dealerships across Australia and the Pacific for five years. Customised training programs in a range of automotive and business areas will be developed to provide training to apprentices, trainees, cadets and employees of TMCA. Another focus of the project will be school-based part-time traineeships for Year 11 and 12 students in government and non-government schools across NSW.
