This article is part of a feature for this issue entitled 'The continuing quest for quality'. It looks at the process which several NSW TAFE institutes have gone through to achieve endorsement as a Quality-Endorsed Training Organisation (QETO). It outlines the benefits to institutes of achieving QETO status, the problems encountered during the process, and future directions. The institutes covered in the article are: Southern Sydney, Northern Sydney, North Coast, Sydney Institute, Western Institute and the Open Training and Education Network - Distance Education (OTEN-DE), which is currently working towards QETO classification.
