This plan sets out the strategic directions and priorities of the sport and recreation industry in New South Wales (NSW) for vocational education and training (VET) over the three years 2001-2003. The contents of the plan include: industry vision and industry overview; the demand for sport and recreation products and services; the sport and recreation workplace beyond 2000; major impacts on sport and recreation; industry requirements of the VET sector; future directions; industry skill needs for 2001; NSW VET priorities; and annual national priorities. The sport and recreation industry is made up of four sectors: community recreation, fitness, outdoor recreation and sport.
