Some reflections on the price of precarious employment: women educators in adult and vocational education

This paper is part of a presentation entitled 'The Price of precarious employment: pitfalls in the push for increased casualisation and insecurity of employment.' presented by the author and colleague Lisa Heap at the 'Training tomorrow - what women want' Vocational Employment, Education and Training (VEET) Women's Taskforce National Seminar in May 1998. Aspects of the employment of education workers and the relevance of the trade union movement in representing these workers are explored.
