Intelligent systems support for HRM: creating a learning organisation culture with the aid of an expert system

This paper examines how well knowledge based systems (KBS) can support behavioural areas of management, specifically in the provision of human resource management services. Results of the trial of one expert system - CHAOS - designed to control the recruitment and selection process demonstrate improved reliability of decision making at management level. The results also indicate potential for KBS development in the area of organisational behaviour.
