The Centre (formerly, the New South Wales. Technical and Further Education Commission. Assessment Centre for Vocational Education) is principally involved in the fields of workplace assessment, recognition, equity, curriculum, managing assessment systems and processes, and quality assurance. This article briefly describes the Centre's current work and outlines some of the projects on which the Centre has recently been engaged. The article is one of many in this issue of 'Training agenda' profiling major, Australian centres of VET and labour market research.
