Curriculum development in TAFE: context, classroom and process

This paper draws on ideas and concepts from the author's research on curriculum development in TAFE for a Ph.D. thesis which is centrally concerned with constructing a more adequate curriculum development model at a time when there is a need for a much greater visibility and understanding of the TAFE curriculum process. Two inter-related aspects of the model are briefly addressed here: contextual and classroom influences and the iterative holistic nature of the curriculum process.
