The Caring for Country project was approved in 1995 by the Australian National Training Authority (ANTA) Standards and Curriculum Council. The project provides land and sea management training for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and and is based in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Consortium at the Far North Queensland Institute of TAFE in Cairns.
