TAFE NSW has begun providing open-entry courses in Aboriginal Cultural Heritage and Tourism Management. It is intended that the courses will assist Aboriginal communities in the process of cultural reclamation and to provide multiple vocational opportunities in a range of cultural centres. The courses will also be offered in correctional centres to help Aboriginal offenders. Lithgow in central western New South Wales has been chosen for the pilot project. The article describes the aims of the training program and how the program is evolving. The article is one of many about Aboriginal students in VET featured in this issue of Training Agenda.
