Looking back to Kangan

The article is an interview with Hugh King, a former member of the Kangan Committee. The interview spans Mr King's working life from 1944 when he joined the Technical Education Branch of the Department of Education in NSW. In the late 1940's he was instrumental in developing and lobbying for the 1949 act which created a Department of Technical Education in NSW, the precursor of today's NSW TAFE Commission. He also worked on the committee which produced the Kangan Report (indexed at TD/LMR 85.637) in 1974.
