Knowledge economies in the Middle East and North Africa: toward new development strategies

The World Bank conference ‘Knowledge for Development: a Forum for Middle East and North Africa’ was held in Marseilles, France in September 2002 to discuss policy strategies for tapping into the growth opportunities offered by the knowledge economy.
