Vocational training programmes: a review of the situation in South Pacific

This paper underlines the fact that vocational training programmes in the South Pacific and elsewhere in the developing countries in Asia, have not yet been linked with the fluctuations in the economic and employment situations, even in the formal sector. The paper sketches some of the features governing the training situation in this region.
