Economic growth in Belgium is not resulting in employment for under-educated people as the number of jobs that require minimal education are decreasing. The increasing use of new technology in industry will only exacerbate this problem. Solutions are being sought with government authorities implementing measures such as reduced social security contributions for employers taking on certain categories of worker and encouragement of part-time working through the provision of financial incentives to employers. It outlines some of the projects that the organisation has developed and implemented and the skills that they teach. The Wonen en Werken Association aims to provide women with alternative sources of work, not necessarily within the traditional employment market.
