EURYDICE

This paper is one of a series on international education research which examines the work of international organisations involved in educational research. The aim of these papers is to highlight the programs and policies of these organisations and draw out common issues arising across nations. This paper describes EURYDICE, an information network on education systems and policies in Europe with the primary aim of analysing and reporting on national education systems and their common trends. The network produces descriptive and comparative analyses of issues of common interest to European policy makers, develops educational indicators published in an annual report, and produces EURYBASE, a community database containing information on education systems. A bibliography of EURYDICE network studies for 1993-1997 is also included.
