This paper is one of a series on international education research which examines the work of international organisations involved in educational research. The aim of these papers is to highlight the programs and policies of these organisations and draw out common issues arising across nations. This paper provides an outline of the history of education policy priorities at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). The author explores OECD's cooperation with the educational research community on issues from its evolving policy agenda and describes the current state of this relationship and future research challenges.
