Collaborative learning in cyber space: a paradigm shift

Recent advances in technology through the Internet encourage the development of a new teaching environment and a paradigm shift in the learning process. This paper discusses the characteristics of the new learning and teaching environment in a network based environment. It highlights the significance of collaborative learning in cyberspace as a way of enhancing the quality of the teaching and learning process.
