Espoo-Vantaa Polytechnic is a significant provider and reformer of education in a changing economy. The key principles in managing the polytechnic are networking and partnerships that ensure a high quality of activities and processes. The main tools used within the management strategy are visions and knowledge management through the development of competencies and management of processes by partnerships. This paper offers a background and explanation of why and how this works.
