Quality assurance and occupational competence of intercultural bridgemakers in vocational education

Vocational training is often burdened with inter-ethnic tensions and conflicts. To deal with this problem the role of intercultural bridgemaking has been introduced in some schools in Israel. When attention is given to the quality assurance and occupational competency issues this role can be effective. This paper provides a description of the selection of intercultural bridgemakers via a specially designed assessment centre and their intensive on-the-job training.
