This paper takes the position that appropriate application of the Internet allows vocational education and training (VET) staff to access contemporary sources of information that can meet the needs of students and develop the skills and competencies that will be required in 21st century work places. The aim is to describe the importance of the Internet as: an effective tool to develop VET strategies in response to rapid changes taking place in the workplace; and as a source of current information from multiple sources to support lifelong learning.
