This document provides a guide to information, current at the time of publication, for educators developing or implementing a school-to-work programme. It is stressed that no effort was made to maintain the currency of the information. The School-To-Work Opportunities Act of 1994 specifies three major components of school-to-work programmes: school-based learning; work-based learning; and connecting activities. The publications in this guide are organised under these components along with works providing general information on school-to-work, transition issues for special populations, and gender equity issues. In addition the guide provides information about newsletters and journals, and educational information centres, agencies and organisations. Where possible, an annotation, price, ordering information, and address are provided for each entry.
