This abstract describes a study within which the researchers reviewed the concept of practical English, examined practical English evaluation tools that had been developed in the UK, USA, Japan and Korea and then performed a needs analysis for both practitioners and education coordinators. Based on the analysis methods are suggested to develop an effective English evaluation model for Korea.
