Work, technology and lifelong education: training the trainers

After enumerating a long list of social and economic problems confronting the changing economies of the world, this article examines the role of education, particularly technological education, in creating general solutions to those problems. The author develops a selection of appropriate skills and competencies for trainers in adult and vocational education that will enable them to contribute to these solutions.
