Develop vocational education through distance education

This paper was presented at Vocational education at a distance: the Asia and the Pacific region workshop (TD/IRD 88.96). This paper briefly describes the composition and current state of vocational education in China. It also introduces the development of distance education, particularly as an important means for vocational education, analyses its advantages, potentialities and future prospects and provides several case studies on applying distance education to vocational education in China.
