Partnership Project and the Partnership Programme

This report describes the Partnership Programme from its inception as a Training, Enterprise and Education Directorate (TEED)-funded project to a fully validated higher educational scheme. The significance of the programme lies in the way it allows credits achieved for learning outcomes derived from work-based learning to be combined with credits earned at the University of Portsmouth. This credit-based scheme also permits relevant prior learning to count towards the awards. Students develop learning contracts through which their studies are self-managed in partnership with university tutors and their mentors at their workplace.
