Traditional apprenticeship in West Africa: recent evidence and policy options

This paper is one of several outcomes of a joint research effort of the ILO, the OECD, and the World Bank. The joint project studied, in several West African countries, how informal sector artisans had acquired their skills and how they contributed to skill acquisition by training apprentices.
