Open learning in public libraries

This kit contains a Learning Technologies Project report by the Library Association on Open Learning in Public Libraries. Between 1989 and 1990 an open learning service was set up in ten UK public libraries supported by the (then) Training Agency (now the Employment Department) to establish an Open Learning service that offers members of the public access to open learning programmes on terms that are attractive to unsponsored individuals, and to develop the service to a level of operation that supports continuation of the service beyond the period of Department of Employment funding. The report evaluates the achievement of these objectives.
