The Government of Pakistan has launched a comprehensive programme to develop human resources in the country. The National Training Board has been established to promote vocational training in Pakistan. The National Training Bureau, working as secretariat to the National Training Board, has compiled curricula for various trades to meet requirements of National Occupational Skill Standards. Standards prescribed by leading industrialised countries have been consulted in the preparation of this document.
