This publication reviews the second year of operation of the Australian National Training Authority Research Advisory Council (ANTARAC). Outlined are ANTARAC's diverse activities and its range of centres, projects, and scholarships. In October 1996, ANTARAC was dissolved. ANTA appointed the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) as the agent to manage the projects and other activities formerly administered via ANTARAC. Research centres will be managed directly by ANTA. Future national research and evaluation activities will be developed through the newly established National Research and Evaluation Committee (NREC).
