The resource takes the form of a DVD/CD-ROM kit which provides a starting point for dialogue on how best to facilitate the acquisition of second language literacy. The DVD contains five filmed sequences in five classrooms, each of which may be used as the basis of a professional development session for teachers and tutors. The CD-ROM contains support materials including focus questions, facilitator notes, suggestions for reflection and evaluation and notes for further discussion which may be printed out.
