This book was developed to support the delivery of the numeracy outcomes of the Certificate in Spoken and Written English (CSWE) to Indigenous learners, but is likely to be of interest to all those working with lower level numeracy students. It uses a consistent format to present a broad range of numeracy activities, which start with very low level number recognition exercises, and build up to more advanced numeracy practices such as estimating, measuring and using graphs. For each activity there are teaching notes, which include the module and learning outcome links for the CSWE, assessment criteria, materials requirements and a guide to the teaching/learning process. This is followed by the learning activity itself, which is presented with clear, easy to read instructions for the student. A number of innovative activities are suggested.
