Jobseeking: which way to work?

This CD and user's guide provide activities for young job seekers to practise their skills at looking for work. The CD contains information, interactive activities, video excerpts and games. It is for unemployed, early school leavers (15-18 year olds) whose literacy and numeracy skills may limit their chances of finding work. The CD is designed to provide examples of the knowledge and skills used in searching for a job, phoning and writing applications as well as interview techniques. It enables users to work interactively in the process of job seeking and practice their job seeking skills. It has been designed for use in diverse settings including community centres, youth access or outreach programs, career guidance programs or at home. Sections include: - How do You Start? - Finding out on the phone - Writing for a job - I got an interview - Job Junk - Hotspots, Vox pops and Blue spots. The user's guide contains an introduction to the program, information about finding your way around the CD ROM, an installation guide and a training guide. It also includes a useful troubleshooter's guide.
