This course provides the opportunity for students to select one of five different streams of study (studio recording, composition, performance, live production, music business), each with two exit points leading to vocational qualifications. Each of the courses aims to provide graduates with the balance of technical and aesthetic skills required for participation in the music industry, within the specialisation studied. The program also aims to provide all students with business management and administrative skills to maximise opportunities for continuing employment in the contemporary music industry. This course replaces the diploma of contemporary music and certificate IV courses AJ01NA-AJ10MA (TD/ACT 50.01).
