Dynamics of coping with curriculum change

Curriculum change management can be regarded as a function of implementation factors, processes, and outcomes. This research paper focusses on the implementation process, examining how a sample of classroom teachers coped with a particular curriculum change. This is done in the light of the concept that innovation and implementation in education can be viewed from three perspectives: technological (production, task orientation, efficiency); political (negotiation, resource distribution, exercise of power and authority); and cultural (shared values).
