Making the grade

The author details how a large group of teachers in the School of Tourism and Hospitality worked through the process of improving their assessment practice. They have evaluated, innovated and implemented new approaches that are more relevant and understandable to all those involved in the process. Integrated and holistic assessment events are undertaken, and students can choose to work towards a ‘pass’ or a ‘pass with distinction’.
