This revised course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge of the theory of a shorthand system and the skills and knowledge to be able to take dictation in shorthand and transcribe it. The course will also provide participants with the knowledge and skills to acquire an Australian Standards Speed Statement for Shorthand Speed in accordance with the Competency Standard COM302 at 80 wpm and Competency Standard COM402 at 100 wpm.
