The purpose of this new course is to provide a comprehensive program of literacy and numeracy skills training in response to the everyday, and/or employment, and/or further education and training needs of the individual. It will enable learners to develop flexible and transferable literacy and numeracy skills through context-based learning experiences relevant to the learner. It will also develop in learners an enjoyment of learning and learner appreciation of themselves as literacy and numeracy users.
