Adult and continuing technical and vocational education in India: present and future

Abstract:

This paper addresses issues, questions and trends associated with adult technical and vocational education (TVE) programs in India's general education system. The structure of TVE is outlined and the effects of trends, such as mass participation in secondary education, unemployment and open learning, are considered.
