Abstract:

This report is the result of a detailed analysis of the findings and outcomes contained in reports received from CBT pilot projects up to December 1992 against the Vocational Education, Employment and Training Advisory Committee (VEETAC) endorsed Operational Plan for the Implementation of CBT (August 1991 - see TD/SA 29.08).

The projects have provided: examples of practical experiences; lessons on the effectiveness of specific implementation processes; information on practical issues; useable products for organisations seeking to implement CBT.

The outcomes of pilot projects are pointing to the need for further work, in areas such as: trainer training; TAFE staff development; key competencies; the role of 'nominal hours' in curriculum; recording competency attainment; monitoring progress; assessment; marketing.
